This is a new design, and how exciting to be depicting new birds in glass! The Black Hawk may sound to you like a catchy name for a helicopter, but it is really a bird of prey in South America, found in migratory populations in Arizona and New Mexico.

This bead is about 1 ½ inches tall, and the hole runs from the top to the bottom. The wooden stand in the photo is made for me by an artist in Virginia. To purchase a stand with your bead, select the "Buy A Stand" option in my etsy store.

If you are a jewelry maker, then imagine the possibilities in a necklace, as a simple pendant, or as a focal in an elaborate design.

I think the Black Hawk is fierce, elegant, and filled with power. If you purchase him, and don't agree with me, then return the artwork for a full refund, including your shipping costs. I'm confident that when you open your order, you'll experience the same excitement that you have for the live ones.
