This one of a kind valance is made up of a combination of six antique linens, vintage hankies, and crocheted doilies suitable for dressing the top or midsection of a single window (in order to make it feel special and not so lonely).

Hankies have been stitched together on a length of crocheted ribbon, 1/2” wide with a 1" loop on either end so you can attach your hankie curtain to existing mounted hardware. Unlike other valances, no curtain rod is necessary; simply tie it up for an instant whimsical window. This curtain measures just over 37” across, which includes the one inch of woven ribbon on either end. It will cover a "standard" sized window. The longest point of the curtain is the center linen, which measures 13” long. Because this curtain is made from items previously loved in another life, please allow for some vintage wear.

Combine with other one-of-a-kind hankie curtains ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/97942594/window-valance-vintage-napkins-and ) to create a magical look for a room full of windows (no longer will your windows feel so completely identical). Matching smatching that’s what I say. And I have smatched matching ever since I showed up in first grade wearing one hot pink sock and one bright blue one.

I once stumbled upon a hankie display strung up along the windows and walls of a thrift shop. It was this that inspired me to make one of a kind hankie window curtains for the pleasure of all windows everywhere.

Planting instructions are included under each listing. Printed instructions will be included upon request.
Because our seeds are separated by hand and not machine, expect to see some plant chaff mixed in with your seeds. This organic plant matter will break down naturally in the soil. All of our seeds and herbs are grown using organic, sustainable, and natural farming practices. No fertilizers or chemicals are ever used. Plants are only fed homemade compost, sun, rain, and limited Village water when necessary. Seeds are packaged in one of a kind handmade envelopes made from recycled paper, or in 100% recyclable kraft envelopes in order to reduce the amount of waste that surrounds our products.
Seeds are hand packed to ensure you receive only the healthiest seeds. Please familiarize yourself with growing conditions and instructions for your seeds before you plant them, as all seeds are different. Basic growing instructions can be found under each listing or by going to http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/index.html to find your State's Cooperative Extension. Be sure to keep your seeds well watered after you plant them to ensure proper germination. Keep your seeds alive by storing them properly: keep your seeds in a dark, cool place (40-50 degrees F) with low-humidity. Never store seed in a warm, humid, or sunny spot. Stored properly, most seed will last for several years.
Our soap is made the old fashioned way in small batches here at the Kirk Estate, using the cold process method and a combination of natural and organic vegetable oils as well as organic herbs from our farmstead. All of our soap is free of dyes and animal byproducts and has a light natural scent.
As required by the FDA, we do not make any claims regarding the cosmetic or health related properties of our soaps.
It is normal for handmade soap to sweat lightly when it can't breathe or when it is hot and humid. Once you receive your soap, unwrap it and place in a cool, dry place to allow any excess moisture to evaporate.
