This beautiful Hammond Synchronous Clock has a very stunning Art Deco look. It has a beautiful black bakelite case. the Face has a true deco look with the stylized numbers and hands. It also has a date and day function. This beauty measures approx 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3. It would look fantastic sitting on a mantle or a shelf.

The Hammond Clock Company of Chicago manufactured this clock in the early 1930’s. The synchronous clock was developed by the Hammond Company using a synchronous motor that keeps “perfect time” and must be manually started when it is initially plugged in. The “spin to start” knob is turned to start it up. Very cool.

This clock is in good vintage condition. There is a tight hairline crack on the left upper corner of the clock. This crack has been stablized and it is only noticeable upon close inspection. I was unable to capture this in the photos. The cord is a replacement to insure safe operation of this 80-year-old beauty. The motor and gearing have been thoroughly cleaned and lubricated, and the clock appears to have a lot of life left in it. The clock keeps perfect time and is quiet while running.
