Here's a rare find for all you vintage magic trick collectors out there! A vintage Mattel's Magic Show Stoppers Showcase from 1969 that is full of magic tricks & instructions!

This is an estate sale find that is in very good vintage condition overall. . The graphics of this case are funky & psychedelic & remind me of Peter Max or the Beatles' Yellow Submarine style of art. Back side of case is solid hot pink.

Vinyl carrying case is approx. 12 1/2" x 18" in size and 3" deep with a secure latch that closes tightly & a handle that is strong. Colors are still very bright with only a few scratches a minor wear. There are two fold out panels that convert this case into a small tabletop table for your magic trick performances. The inside of one of the fold out panels has a few small tears (see photo #4).

Bottom of case is marked "1969 Mattel, Inc. Hawthorne, California 90250 Manufactured for Mattel, Made and Printed in USA, All Rights Reserved Under International and Pan Am American Conventions" and "5830"

The case & its contents are fairly heavy weighing 3 pounds 12 ounces & include the following:
- Super Secret Instructions & Showmanship Hints ~ includes instructions for 8 tricks and suggestions on how to make your magic entertaining, putting on a show, programming a show, advice to magicians, and a brief history on how magic began.
- Top Secret Instruction for "Sorcerer's Surprises" (3 tricks)
- Top Secret Instructions for "Spellfinder's Secrets" (3 tricks)
- Top Secret Instructions for "Phantom Phantasies" (3 tricks)
- Top Secret Instructions for "Magician's Miracles" (3 tricks)
- I reviewed each magic trick to see what was needed to perform the trick & from what I can tell, this magic trick set is complete except for a two sided coin and general household items that the instructions assume the user has.

These items were included in the case but were not part of the Mattel set to the best of my knowledge:
- Bonus "Magic Tricks" paperback book by Guy Frederick, published 1970
- two small plastic cups with one dice
- flesh color slip on thumb & thumbnail
- Adams' Peter Rabbit Goes to Town magic trick instructions, along with sponge foam rabbit family
- Adams' Cigarette Thru Handkerchief magic trick instructions in a box
- Aladdin's Magic Cards in box with instructions, 1972
