This is 4 ounces of raw, Bluefaced Leicester and Finn cross wool and a copy of washing instructions based on my own method.

This fleece is silky and soft! Very similar to the BFL cross in natural browns and grays also listed in the shop. You get the awesome crimp and silkiness of BFL with the length and more open lock structure of the Finnsheep.. It's a great wool to learn to wash fleece on. It can felt, but you won't have to baby it like a fine wool, and it will spin easily from a flicked lock--no need for cards or combs. The tips are slightly dirty (see third picture), but I've found that a good cold soak before washing cleans that right up.

This fleece comes from an American farm, and they cover their sheep. This wool is very vm free and will wash easily.

Due to importation laws, I only ship raw wool to the US, Canada and Australia.

**A Dyeing Wish (http://ADyeingWishFiberArts.etsy.com) and Inspiration Fibers (http://inspirationfibers.etsy.com) have joined forces for the Tour de Fleece 2012 on Ravelry. We are Team Dyeing Inspirations! The Tour de Fleece is a challenging, 22-day spinning marathon that follows along with the Tour de France. This year’s tour runs from June 30th to July 22nd. If they spin, we spin. If they have a rest day, we rest. During the tour, spinners challenge themselves with new techniques and new fiber experiences.
