Vietnam Era Zippo, USS John R Craig DD 885, 1970

Own a piece of history. This is a beautiful silver Zippo from 1970. The front in engraved with a gearing class destroyer and the inscription USS John R. Craig DD-855. The markings on the bottom of the Zippo date it to 1970. All parts appear to be original. You will need to add lighter fluid and most likely a new flint to get this beauty to work. The hinge is also original and is loose - if you were to use this lighter continually, you might need to repair the hinge in the future.

There is a faint engraving on the flip lid, which I tried to capture in the last picture.
"Cheryl & Charles'"
To me, it is this small personalization which makes this Zippo so very special.
