Curling, the cold-climate sport that is so beloved in Canada, has been gaining popularity in Japan, thanks to the great showing of some fine women players who are from shivery Hokkaido, my part of northern Japan.

This is an original etegami, hand-painted on a soft washi card. Etegami is a traditional Japanese folk art that combines simple images with thoughtful words. Dimensions of the painting are 10cm x 15cm (approx. 4" x 6"). It will be shipped unframed, protected in a clear plastic inner envelope and a sturdy outer envelope. As per Japanese tradition, the red name seal identifies me as the artist, but I will inscribe the date and my full signature on the back as well.

I'd Rather be Curling
