UPDATE: I managed to get these Ski Figures and some other figures appraised. I learned the manufacturer is Barclay, and they are probably late 1940s. For this offer, the appraiser felt the price point is good. I did not get a long written inventory, but was offered one if a buyer needs it. It was an informal appraisal: we were trading favors, but not giving inaccurate information.

These figures and accessories are from a rare package by Barclay called "Winter Scene," featuring skiers, sledders and other winter adventures.

These antique Ski Figures are one of the most appealing items at any price that I have ever sold. They are just so charming and "old time winter."

I found these while cleaning my chimney. Generations ago, a child must have dropped them from stove level and they got covered with debris and miraculously preserved.

These are lead, which means they are not suitable for children because they might eat the lead and harm their brains. This goes for you, too: if you are anything like me, you have no brain to spare.

They look fantastic in a display case. The ski figures have just the right poise but also signs of being hand made--like I said, charming.

You get seven skiers, two idle people, a baby, a horse and a sled. Wow. The old-time look without the primitiveness. Very well made.
