I have never seen another Vera like this scarf.

Knowing that Vera was contemporaries with many other great artists, some of them architects, I can only assume that the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, or Frank Gehry, provided a moment of inspiration for this, another one of Vera's endless expressions of creativity.

An actual blueprint for a New York house, this scarf is an early piece of Pop Art - taking the mundane and turning it into high art and fashion, all by breaking the rules.

The size of her signature and the lucky little ladybug sitting next to it tells us that it's from the late 1950's. The touch and feel of the silk suggests that it is one of the last productions of silk scarves from the WWII surplus parachutes that Vera bought to start her scarf business.

Detailed blueprints, with construction instructions and precise measurements, show the framing for a family house. The white ink is gentle and elegant over baby blue silk.

Measures a giant 31" square - so rare and versatile. No tag. Made in Japan with "All Silk," most likely parachute silk with which Vera founded her entire company... so strong, translucent and smooth draping.

Nice vintage condition, considering its age and size... there are spots throughout (see photo #4) and many areas of thinning, visible when held up to the light. The price is so high based on its size, age and incredible collectibility! This one is truly for the Vera museum that needs to be built!

This would be amazing framed for someone who loves fashion and architecture!
