Materials: Locally harvested Pecan wood.
Size: 17 ½ inches in length

Called the “Texas Bean Spoon” because it’s made from locally harvested Pecan wood. Pecan is the most common urban forest by-product here in North Texas. As a member of the hickory family pecan wood is hard, when carved the grain can win out over most any tool trying to work it. Pecan doesn’t lend itself to delicate carving but is good at making heavy solid tools. This is a large spoon with a big scooper, perfect for serving up a spicy chili from a cast iron pot cooking over an open fire or as a club for self -defense. It has been treated with a coat of coconut oil and should be re-seasoned on occasion with food grade oil to bring back its luster.

Price: $50
