The Woman-Haters: A Yarn of Eastboro Twin-Lights by Joseph C. Lincoln - Published by A.L. Burt - 1911

(from Amazon)
The Women-Haters, by Joseph Crosby Lincoln, was published in 1911 and is set on Cape Cod. It is a very light, rather amusing, story of two men, disappointed in love, who work as lighthouse keepers. It just so happens that two women come to spend the summer at a nearby rental house and by the end of the book there are two happy couples and no more women-haters.

Oddly enough, after a mere century it was finally made into a movie in 2010 called The Lightkeepers starring Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner. Both the book and the movie are a nice way to pass an idle afternoon.

There is some shelf wear to the decorative covers and spine. There are bumped corners, rubbed edges, and the print has faded from the spine. The pages are clean and the binding is good. No dust jacket.

Condition: Good
Dimensions: 5" x 8" x 1.5"
