This is a wheel thrown and handbuilt stoneware Teapot with a cane handle. The dark blue, glossy glaze becomes lighter blue matte where it is thicker. There are touches of tortoise-shell brown on parts of the pot. Inside the Teapot there are tea leaf strainer holes. The flanged lid fits securely and the spout pours nicely!

The Teapot was fired in an electric kiln to Cone 6, or mid-range stoneware temperature.

The Teapot holds 18 ounces liquid. It measures approximately 7" from tip of spout to the far side of the pot and 4 3/4" height to the top of the lid. The belly diameter is approximately 4 5/8". The cane handle is approximately 4" tall.

The Teapot is for brewing tea, and, of course, must not be placed on a heat source!
