White raku fired beads, handmade in South Africa for you to use in your next jewelry art piece.

Largest bead = approx 22mm
Smallest bead = approx 14mm

Hand rolled by single moms from a disadvantaged rural community near Cape Town, South Africa. I design, fire and glaze the beads in my pottery studio.

Raku is a fast firing and cooling process whereby glazed beads are taken out of a kiln when the glaze is molten and placed into sawdust to cool. The result is a distinctive black crackle in the surface of the glaze and smoking of the unglazed body.

Beads with a difference that make a difference!
