A great piece of antique stove door part with two ornate doors, a latch, knobs and a sliding bar for air intake.

The piece weighs 5.7 pounds (2.6 kg).

It measures 8.3 x 6.7 inches (21 x 17 cm). The door measures 6.9 x 5.5 (17.5 x 14 cm).

Object has a depth of 2'' (5 cm).

I think a massive door part like this one would more likely be made for a ceramic stove. The piece shows a lot of wear and rust. It needs a thorough cleaning. The latch and the sliding bar is functional. The main door's shaft is intact and it opens and closes without a problem. The top part of the inner door's shaft is broken so it tends to come out from there (the shaft has only a 1/10'' or 3 mm part is left at the top). The back side is charred and looks dark brown and very rusty.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I can upload or send you photos from different angles if you like.

For shipping of this particular item I need to use parcel post as the weight exceeds the limit for registered mail (4 lbs/2kg). Parcel post has different shipping rates for various countries. It will have the same security features (basic tracking and online viewable delivery confirmation) plus signature confirmation. I ship within 2 days of cleared payment and accept returns. General delivery estimate for regular mail is 2-4 weeks, parcel post is slightly faster, I can research a more accurate estimate for your country.

Special SHIPPING note for interested buyers: For many countries including US, the price of shipping two boxes weighing just under 2 kg by mail is not much different than shipping a box weighing 4 kg by parcel post (it is actually cheaper for Europe). However, parcel post prices increase very sharply for Australia and Canada. After listing this item, I thought if it would not be possible to reduce shipping cost by dismantling it and sending it as two parts, both by registered mail. If you are interested in this option, I can reserve the item for you and divide it into two seperate listings with 3 major parts of the door. It would take some time to put it together and I can explain how to do it. That way, total shipping comes to a little under $35.

Please note that post offices generally hold registered mail and parcel post for personal pick up after a delivery failure. For detailed information about shipping method, country specific delivery estimates, returns policy, alternative (priority mail which is faster) shipping methods, please visit the following page (or convo me):
