1913 hardcover edition of "Wild Animals at Home" by Ernest Thompson Seton. Seton was a naturalist and wildlife artist who helped found the Boy Scouts of America.

Green hardcover boards with brown lettering and moose head illustration on cover. Chapters on the lives and habits of numerous animals of the American West and Rocky Mountains, including the coyote, prairie dog, fox, beaver, otter, elk, buffalo, bat, skunk, badger, squirrel, chipmunk, rabbit, bobcat, bear, and more. Illustrated throughout with cartoon-style drawings in the margins, and a number of half-tone photographic plates.

126 pages.

Measures 8" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/4"

Inscribed on title page in pencil: Billy from Dick Earle 1935

Good condition. Light soiling to the boards and pages. Spine is a bit loose, but still holding together. One plate page has been pulled out and is loose inside the book. (All other plates are intact.)
