This stoneware wall pot has lace and lace appliques pressed into damp clay for surface decoration. Underglazes provide the color and a clear glaze covers all except the bottom. My signature and date are on the back. It measures about 12" high, 6.5 wide at the back and 4" deep from front to back. It would be good for dry or fresh flowers and one could plant directly into it. The back has two holes for hanging.

This piece could also sit on a kitchen counter to hold utensils.

This is part of a series I'm working on focussing on surface articulation with stamps, embossing and colored underglazes. I like furthering the connection with horticulture in the decoration of the pieces. I have been browsing Etsy for more lace and enjoy my collection.

This piece is slab built by hand and is one of a kind.

Shipping costs may be less depending on the area of the country you live in. I would be glad to give a quote for international shipping.

Filled with flowers or utensils this would be a spectacular birthday gift or shower gift.
