"When it comes time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home." - Chief Aupumut

We purchased this Indian woodcarving from the estate of an old carver in Omaha, NE. This is an unfinished work that we located amongst numerous other unfinished items buried in the estate; however, this particular piece is complete enough to show the carver's skill, tell a great story, and stand alone as a display piece. This particular piece appeared to be a diversion from the carver's normal subject matter, birds.

The statue is approximately 14.5" tall. The base measures approximately 4" wide by 3.5" long.
