These navy and red dance shoes are a rare find and are very sturdy considering their age. I believe they are from the 30s or 40s, judging by the closure style, a piece of navy blue ribbon threaded through two tear-shaped openings in the leather, and the items they were purchased with at an estate sale years ago. They have a square toe box and a gray (very loose) insole that says Capezio and has a half-faded message about the World of Dance. Red leather covers the heel as well as a platform lift on the front of the shoe. The size indicated inside is too faded to read, but my best guess is a 7.5. The leather has some scuffs and dirt, mostly on the right toe. Definitely a cool find or costume piece!

Please note when viewing the photos that both the wall and ground surface are light blue and the tights are cream-colored.

9 5/16" along insole from toe to heel
2 1/4" - height of heel
1/2" - height of platform lift on the front of the shoe
1 3/4" - height difference between toes and heel, given the platform
