This item has been assessed by an American and an English forum of knife experts and it was agreed that this is the only example that anyone has ever seen of a knife bracelet. Age is uncertain, and it may be as recent as the 1950's. However, it may be of ancient origin. Either way, it is a highly innovative design made to offer serious protection to the wearer.

Bracelet is solid metal and extremely heavy. Construction is two pieces that slide together and tightly lock into place with two small and crude ball and socket joints. There are no hinges and no steel parts. Deeply incised lines decorate the bracelet. The blades have a moderate patina and verdigris. Bracelet also has some patina. Most of the opinions have been that this was probably made in India or a nearby country. Weight is 355 grams. With some effort, a section can be pulled out to reveal the two wicked looking little blades. Additional photos available on request. Offers considered.
