A magnificent plastic gold frame for your high-class environment, this ornate frame is 8" by 11 1/2" inches although the burgundy or dark red velvet rectangle in the middle is just 6 inches high by 5 inches wide. This lovely item was made by Cameo Creations (I suspect Hong Kong in the early 1970s as the place of manufacture). It is also marked on the back "Lady Hamilton, George Romney" (Hello, Sailor). I have glued googly eyes to the original portrait (included), but the back is easily removable (see third photo) for you to insert whatever you wish. If you wish to keep Emma Hailton in place, you are on your own if you want to piant a mustache on her- I will not do that, because that would be wrong.

I'm not sure whether the oval covering is plastic or glass, but I think it is more likely plastic. The backing is a rectangular piece of cardboard covered on the outside with leather-look paper and held onto the frame with screws. There are five screws at present, with the sixth one at the bottom missing. However, the velvet cannot be removed from around the oval because they are one piece- to put it another way, the oval cannot be isolated from the velvet.

The question you have to ask yourself is "Can I handle this much kitsch?"
