PLEASE NOTE: I'M MOVING TO A NEW ETSY SHOP, FABRIC 8 SLIPCOVERS. CHECK ME OUT HERE: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Fabric8Slipcovers?ref=ss_profile

High quality materials and close attention to detail to produce superior slipcovers.
Heavy zippers and upholstery duty thread along with fine choices of fabrics in my collection deliver a final piece that I can stand behind for years to come.
All seams are finished with an overlocked edge to ensure stability through a lifetime of laundering.
All skirts are lined rather than blind-stitched. Lining provides a more luxurious finish, preserves fabrics, and prevent future repairs.

If you CURRENTLY HAVE A SLIPCOVER on your furniture & are willing to do without it for a couple of weeks, I can use it to make a pattern for your new slipcover, updating the style as desired. I’ll return your covers when done, if you want them.

Find a MEASURING GUIDE for your furniture:
http://www.fabric8slipcovers.com/#!choose-furniture-piece/cr3r
The most important measurements are normally seam to seam. If something does not add up when I figure your pieces, I'll ask you to re-measure that area. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need help finding the correct guide for your furniture's style.

You may consider ordering a SLIPCOVER STARTER KIT:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/105093417/slipcover-starter-kit-including-swatches
This is a supplement to the measuring guide that contains fabric samples, a soft measuring tape for accuracy around contours, template paper, tools & instructions to make a template for your arm fronts and other areas that may need templates. This kit is not a requirement for most sofa styles, but does help with the final fit.
Check out and order FABRIC SWATCHES (included with Starter Kit above):

Let me know your thoughts when you get them and we'll go from there. If you don't see quite what you're looking for, let me know your likes and dislikes, so I can do a more detailed search for you.

If you'd like me to direct you to the correct measuring guide for your pieces, please send a photo of them, a link to them on the manufacturer's website, or text to (239) 634-3186 & include your location & email address!
Please let me know if I can answer any questions as you fill in your measuring guides.
Use a soft or flexible type of measuring tape to be more accurate around all the curves. Try to get within a ½” favoring the larger. Feel free to make side notes. The important ones are seam to seam. I’ll review your measurements to be sure they add up correctly and let if you know if I need an area remeasured.
I suggest starting by ordering a Slipcover Starter Kit:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/105093417/slipcover-starter-kit-including-swatches
Each kit is made specifically for your situation and contains all the necessary tools and instructions to make templates of difficult to measure areas which ensures a great fitting slipcover! It also includes a soft measuring tape for ease of measuring around curves & fabric samples expressly hand-picked for you.
Absolutely! I'd be happy to use your current cover to get the measurements.
Sometime they have shrunk a bit - no problem. I'll ask you to take a couple key measurements and figure how much we need to add all around to get a good fit again.
Changing the style of the slipcover this time is doable, too.
My preference for dealing with attached back cushion is to remove the filling from them and put it into an insert cover that is then used in a regular cushion cover. Most attached back cushions have a zipper hidden along the bottom edge to make it easy to take the filling out. With the insert cover for your pillow fill, you don’t have to rearranging the filling each time you launder your slipcover. The final effect is a much more custom look than the alternative of having all the cushions behind a single flat fabric piece.
12 oz Denim or 14 oz Denim are favorites for use with a relaxed shabby chic style, although they can be used with any style.

11 oz Linen is another favorite. It can be used with many styles. I preshrink it to make it washable, so you have a nice laundered linen look that is suitable for comfy cottage styles, but can also be pressed for a sleek or industrial look.

Natural Hemp is among the most durable fabrics available and is suitable for a more modern, contemporary, or industrial feel.

To order bulk slipcover fabric swatches:

You can let me know any specific fabrics &/ your preferences and I'll send you all that I think you may like.
Your Slipcover has been preshrunk & edges finished prior to fabrication and may be machine washed. Remove from washer immediately after spin cycle to prevent deep set wrinkles.

There is a possibility of a 3-5% residual shrinkage regardless of these efforts. I suggest drying slipcovers on your furniture so they "learn" their new form as they dry.
If you must put in dryer: Use lowest heat setting & remove while seams are still damp. Allow to finish drying on furniture.

Smooth over furniture and pull all seams and cording into place starting with back and then arms. Tuck extra fabric into crevices around deck. You may also iron your slipcover while on furniture for a fresh press look!
