Self-Striping Superwash Merino/Cashmere/Nylon Sock Yarn
80% Superwash Merino/10% Cashmere/10%Nylon
430 yards/100 g
7-9 st/in on US 0-2

There's a bit of a story behind this colorway. Recently, the newest issue of the "Sunset Western Garden Book" came out, and of course we had to have a copy. On the cover is a photo of the most beautiful flower, in dark purple, light purple and light lime green. It begged to be dyed and we became obsessed with finding out more about it. Thus ensued a month's worth of emails to the publisher, the publicist, and finally the photographer, to track down its name: "Primula Auricula." Then, to the dyepot!

This self striping sock yarn is 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon for strength. It is decadently soft and smooshy, and takes color beautifully. At 430 yards (100 g.) per skein, it should be enough for a pair of most socks.

Although the merino in this yarn is superwash, hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry for best results and to extend the life of your finished creation. This yarn has been rinsed a minimum of three times after dyeing, but may still bleed slightly on its first washing.

Currently, yarn is dyed one at a time or in small batches, but if you would like to order multiple skeins for a larger project, I will be happy to dye to order with every attempt made to match skeins as closely as possible. Also, although every attempt has been made to represent colors in photographs, individual monitors may vary.

This yarn was dyed in smoke-free premises. There are two cats and a dog, but they are not allowed to play in the fiber, which is stored in plastic bags and covered bins.

Please note if you want your yarn wound into a center pull cake, at no extra charge.
