This antique card game was piblished in 1906 by the McLoughlin Brothers and is beautiful! All 72 cards are preesent and in very good condition except for the very first card, #1, which has a bent corner. The cards themselves are beautifully and intricately designed. Each set off 2 cards has an author card and a card of his works (see last pic). Even the backs of the cards are lovely woth a typical Victorian small print design. The box which measures 8.75" x 4.5" is intact. It has stains ans worn edges as you can see in the pictures, but there are no broken corners. The box is a typical McLoughlin box with the bottom sides made of wood paper pasted to a cardboard bottom. What I really love baout this set is that htere are so any 19th century authors with 9 women among them, unusual for an authors card game. This game is deefinitely a desirable collectible!
