Is there a special nurse in your life? If so, this may be the perfect gift - a Miss Curity nurse doll from the 1950s and a book about plucky Penny Marsh and her adventures in public health nursing. The 7.5" tall doll stands with assistance (a plastic doll stand is included with this listing), and her sleep eyes still open and close. Sadly, Miss Curity's head is a bit wobbly and can be pushed partway off her neck if you aren't careful. However, the rubber band still connects the head to the body. Her blond coiffure still looks good, and her vinyl dress is in very good condition. The Miss Curity printing on her cap is clear, but there appears to be a faint blue shadow behind the letters. It's hard to tell if this is intentional or if the ink ran a bit somewhere along the way. Miss Curity's white tights and shoes are painted on. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need further information regarding the condition of this collectible doll.

The Penny Marsh book has a first copyright date of 1940, and this eleventh printing is from 1957. It was written by Dorothy Deming, R.N. The type on the front cover is off-center, as can be seen in the picture. This particular copy still has its check-out card from the Hopewell-Loudon High School Library in Bascom, Ohio.

Insurance is included in the shipping estimate for this listing. I'm happy to issue partial shipping refunds for excessive overcharges on shipping.
