50 cents

bit larger than a US quarter

This is a much requested pendant that I don't get around to cutting often. It features the 'Lion of Judah'.

The Lion of Judah was the symbol of the Israelite tribe of Judah in the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). In Rastafarian Theology, "The Lion of Judah" represents Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia. Rastas hold that Selassie is a direct descendant of the Israelite Tribe of Judah through the lineage of King David and Solomon, and that he is also the Lion of Judah mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

You can still see most of Selassie's profile on the back of the coin (see photo).

I have other versions of this same coin up for sale at the moment but this is the only one I have in the silver, 50 cent version. This is an expensive coin to purchase to start with and that is the reason for it's slightly higher price than the 25, copper version.

Thanks for looking.
