Hand made wooden bookmark for saving your place in your cookbook. This is a 5 inch by 1 1/4 inch bookmark made from some salvaged Mesquite wood. There is an area of burl near the bottom. The tassel is hand woven with color coordinated beads. We make these all the time from scraps of pretty wood but we have not listed any on etsy until now. My wife found a pile of them on my bench and decided to finish some. Handy for saving your place in your favorite recipe book or to leave a hint for what you would like your husband to make you for dinner right after your foot massage. I suggest you leave it tucked into the page for Pineapple upside down cake or baklava for dessert. Finished with Tried and True Varnish Oil, which is an all natural, true boiled linseed oil which is non toxic, good for the environment and dries to a satin finish without all the heavy metal drying agents put into most "boiled Linseed" finishes. Cut out by me and finished by my wife. I don't have the patience for doing that intricate bead work.
