The Hamsa is a very interesting symbol used in both Islamic, Jewish and Buddhist culture. A popular apotropaic talisman for magical protection for good luck and prosperity. The word Hamsa means 5 and refers to the five fingers. Symbol worn with the fingers pointed down, the Hamsa symbolizes God's goodness and blessings coming down to the wearer. Hamsa is sometimes referred to as the Hand of Miriam and the Hand of Fatima, depending on religious beliefs and individual interpretation.

The medallion measures 1"x1 1/4". Pendant measures 2 1/4"x1 1/4". Custom wrapped in silver plated wire.

Pendant will ship in a gift box. My Thank You Gift with purchase is a lovely 20" silver plated snake chain.
