Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Introduction by Rose Macauley. This is a Rare First Modern LIbrary Edition in Brown Leatherette, January 1926. Manufactured in the United States of America.

Now considered a classic of English literature, Wuthering Heights met with mixed reviews by critics when it first appeared, mainly because of the narrative's stark depiction of mental and physical cruelty. Though Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre was originally considered the best of the Brontë sisters' works, many subsequent critics of Wuthering Heights argued that its originality and achievement made it superior.

There is some wear to the covers and spine and a price on the first inside page written in pencil. There are also a few pencil notes on the inside of the back cover. Someone has neatly written the names of some of the characters. There is also one small tear on a page and some small stains here and there.

It will be packaged carefully and mailed by Canada Post.
