Hawaiian quilting is traditionally made using 1 piece of fabric for the applique. It is traditionally folded and cut, similarly to the way we all cut snowflakes from paper when we were little. This quilt varies from traditiion in that exotic, tropical flowers are not the motif--here we have motifs that represent my great state....Longhorns, cowboy boots and our bright, magnificent sun!
Full sized applique template included as well as a color photograph and clear, easy to understand instructions. Instructions include information about raw edge applique using fusible web and decorative edge stitching.
Finished quilt measures 26" sq. and can easily be enlarged with borders or used as the center medallion of a larger quilt.
