“Nine West” light dove grey suede skirt, size 6, with tags still on it. Hand illustrated from the movie “Stormy Weather”. Dancer Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Actress Lena Horne and band Leader Cab Calloway are featured on this skirt.

This is really a classy look. The images are painted on the side so that from the front you only see Lena and Robinson and from the back Cab Calloway.

Stormy Weather is a 1943 American musical film produced and released by 20th Century Fox. The movie is one of the best Hollywood musicals produced in 1943 with African-American casts, and is considered a primary showcasing of some of the top African-American performers of the time, during an era when African-American actors and singers appearing rarely in lead roles in mainstream Hollywood productions, especially the ones of the musical genre.

If you’ve never seen the movie – you really should. Despite a running time of only 77 minutes, the film features some 20 musical numbers. This was Robinson's final film (he died in 1949); Waller died only a few months after its release.
The artist works primarily with Faber Castell artist pens which are permanent, waterproof, extremely fade resistant, acid free, India ink. If you have additional questions, please feel to contact Dianna.
