Offered are two German, bisque-fired doll heads broken off at the bottom. These dolls are a great addition to your art as a different, and possibly creepier and more pure version of the glazed dolls offered in my shop. These are a wonderfully "organic" version of their glazed counterparts!

These dolls appear to have stopped at production, being bisque fired, never glazed with the final firing. They have chalkware type finish, with a more porous surface. They're in relatively clean condition as found, and I venture to say that's how they'll stay due to the porous finish which would make dirt and stains more permanent and embedded in the clay.

Other wear including but not limited to: dirt, mineral rust exposure, etc. Measured top to bottom, approx 1-1/2" tall and 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" wide.

These ARTifacts are from an old German doll factory, dating from 1890-1940s when the factories ceased operation. Check back for other bisque items excavated from the same site. http://www.etsy.com/shop/CreativeARTifacts?section_id=6389250

As with all offered ARTifacts, these come in “as found” condition.
