These Artline brand garden gnomes were popular in the 1960's. The nice thing about these guys is that you can be sure that they'll hold up to the outdoor elements since they are created from a plastic blow mould. The paint doesn't chip and, as you can see by the pictures, the color holds pretty well even after living in the elements.

This gnome is unusual because it's rare to find the shovel still in-tact. The overall condition is pretty good. The gnome is a little dinged up and he's been filled with cement (maybe). These gnomes when left empty, don't usually stand-up so well, but the previous owner filled him and glued on a shim so he stand's perfectly upright at just under 11 inches tall.

The shoveling gnome would be a great addition to any garden or gnome collection. He's got a great happy face that makes him sweet to look at.

Thanks for looking.
