This is a wheel-thrown stoneware plate, about 9 inches around, with a trimmed foot. The glaze is bright shades of orange and golden tan, with just a bit of black. The lined pattern was done in wax with layered shino glazes. The result is a slightly raised surface around the pattern.
Though colors can vary from screen to screen, the head-on image with the lighter colors seems to be most true-to-life when it comes to the colors.

Good-looking enough for display, but sturdy enough for use. Lead-free, food-safe glaze. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
