This original painting glows with color and texture due to the wide variety of materials used. Matte latex paint, glossy spray paint, and glowing oil colors add different finishes that have to be seen to be fully appreciated. The way light hits this painting is incredible.

I made this fantastical space from superimposing images and partial images from a variety of design sources. I began working with imagery from the interior in late 2011 after becoming interested in the narratives of class and power associated with the objects and spaces of our daily lives. Lamps, chandeliers, sconces, tables and chairs, sectional sofas, and windows all become part of a language of opportunity, with its own rich history.

This 16" x 20" painting is on quality hardboard panel.
