This is a super cute little lidded silverplate butter dish. The most charming detail is the flower and leaf finial on the lid! The piece is marked on the bottom "Oneida LTD." The base of the dish has scallops at the ends, creating little "handles." The piece does not have the glass insert that it probably came with, but finding a second hand one wouldn't be very hard!

Lots of general tarnish, and this could be hiding plate loss, but for the most part it looks pretty clean. The base has a lot of mild scratches, maybe from slip ups with the butter knife?, and some blemishes inside, where the butter would go. The lid has some smaller scratches, but is still very pretty. There is a tiny, pinpoint sized bit of verdigris on the lip of the lid. No dings or dents.

This is a pretty piece and would be lovely on the table at a vintage inspired wedding or even at your every day dinner table!

Slightly over 8.5 inches long.
