Hello and thanks for checking out my listings.

A Tudor inspired gown made in a dark red (burgundy) and gold.
Brand new design by Vendetta Couture.

It is designed and made by me, Sian here in Central France.

Dress description:
The main part of the dress made in a light weight crushed velvet in a dark red and gold, it is matched with a pale gold taffeta which is covered in delicate embroidered leaves and scrolles made with metallic gold threads. The taffeta is used for the centre front panel, slashed puffed sleeve heads and fitted under sleeves. The gown has panels of gold velvet added to the front and inserted into the back of the skirt. This makes the skirt full and drapes wonderfully.
The upper sleeves are fitted and the lower sleeves are full- double lined with velvet (burgundy on the outer side and gold on the inside), trimmed with a creamy pale gold braid. There are cord ties on the over sleeves so that they can be tied up to the elbow- makes eating a little easier! The under sleeves are made in the taffeta and are fitted from the elbow down to the wrist ending in a pointed cuff. The inside have eyelets and ribbons so they can be adjusted to fit.
There is lacing on the sides of front and at the centre of the back of the dress, this can be adjusted to fit the figure. The whole front of the bodice has been trimmed with the complementing braid.
This dress is special, there is a lot of detail to the design to give that Tudor feel but without the heaviness of a "proper" period gown.
The upper sleeves are a real feature of this dress and look stunning when worn, it's difficult to really show just on a mannequin. The dress has been photographed with a net hooped petticoat which is not included and it is something that you may or may not want to wear with the dress as it can depend on your figure. I recommend deciding if you want a petticoat once you have tried the dress on.

Size information:
*MEDIUM LARGE*- will fit the following size ranges:
UK 14 - 18
USA 10 -14
EUR 42 -46
Bust 38" - 42" 97cm - 107cm
Waist 30" - 34" 76cm - 87cm

The length of the dress is 57"/145cm from the back of the neck down to the ground.

The velvet fabric is stretchy and has about 2" of give to the fabric on top of the measurements shown above as well as adjustable lacing on the front and back. This gown is not lined due to the stretch fabric but if you would like to have a slip to wear underneath it just let me know and I can make it using the same pattern to ensure if fits perfectly when you wear both together.

If you are not sure if the dress will fit you, please send me your bust and waist measurements and I can adjust the tailors mannequin to your size and try the dress on. That way I can let you know exactly how it will fit as I want to make sure that the dress fits you perfectly.

If you require any further information please feel free to contact me. I have loads more photo's of this dress available, if you would like to see any of them just drop me a line : )
I can also supply you would like fabric samples or a matching bag if you wanted.
