If you are looking for a special gift, choose hand-coloured maps over printed maps. While admiring the map, keep in mind that all the coloured lines and filled-in colour were painstakingly done by hand.

This is a finely executed hand-coloured map of the lower estuary of the Forth and adjacent country in Scotland. Printed in 1868 by A. Fullerton & Co., London & Edinburgh.

The full map is shown in the last photo. Other photos show details from the map.

There is light foxing on the map, as shown in the photos, and small parts of the left and right margins, not affecting the map image, have been repaired with backing material by the previous owner . Otherwise, it is in very good condition. Blank on the reverse.
