Eye searing fluorescent red pink vintage cardigan sweater with button belt. Serious hot color, Kari Lynn Original made in Japan 1970s. New wave mod scooter punk. S - M size.

You cannot really look directly at this sweater and yet the eye is drawn to it like a laser beam. I frankly couldn't even cajole my camera into appropriately capturing just how intense the color is. It is utterly vintage, and kind of crazy, but will actually suit a variety of styles, from straight eighties in living color, to rockabilly or preppy mod, surf or new wave punk. It'd kill for a pair of black and white striped leggings with black shorts overtop, or happily blind your neighbors over fluorescent green jeans.

The shape is kind of sweetly conservative, with a nice knit subtle flower pattern front, knit belt, and yard-wrapped buttons throughout. It is 100% virgin acrylic fiber (reassuring) and has a great Kari Lynn Originals tag including the Made in Japan circle logo. It's a fairly warm sweater, not flimsy, and is in quite good shape, there's certainly some pilling and superficial wear here and there but no pulls or stains.

Tagged size 38, which is the measurement (in inches) from armpit to armpit when laying flat. From the natural shoulder to the wrist cuffs measures 23" and from nape to bottom hem 26" high. As a cardigan, it's pretty flexible size-wise. It has some stretch (cuz it's knit) but holds its shape. I'm 5'8" and it's fine on my height, and arms. The cuffs can be turned up if you're shorter.

Also, did I mention it's bright? It's really really bright. How did they even MAKE that color?
