A colorful, detailed, fabulous vintage illustration of the continent of Africa by Cornelius De Witt covers page 7 from "The Golden Encyclopedia" by Dorothy A. Bennett. The book is a Giant Golden Book, Deluxe Edition, published by Simon & Schuster in 1946. The colors remain very bright and the images clear. There are small titles for many of the graphics shown; for example, near the top left, "caravan" appears next to the graphic of a line of camels and "pyramid" runs across the graphic of a pyramid near the center top of the illustration.

♥ Page size: 10" wide x 12.75" long. You will receive this one page shown in these photos---the text description of Africa continues on the back (page 8, which is not shown here).

♥ I did not attempt to clean the page in any way. It does show wear, mostly in light grayish smudges (from little hands turning the pages, I imagine). Page 7 has a round brown stain on the left margin. There is a crease about 3.5" long that goes from the bottom of the page just up into the bottom of the illustration. A very short tear is near the center bottom of the page.
