Vintage Milk Can Galvanized Metal Can Painted Red with American Revolution Soldiers

This antique galvanized metal milk can was painted back in the 1960s. Painted red and antiqued with applied decals depicting soldiers from the American Revolution.

The can measures 18 1/2 inches high and 19 1/4 inches with the lid. The can is 9 inches wide across the bottom and 5 inches wide across the top opening. The lid fits very snug and if pressed all the way down would be difficult to remove. The painted surface is chippy and flaking in spots added to its vintage appearance.

There is a small old hole drilled in the bottom, so the can will not hold water. Still a lovely display piece as is or for holding a bundle of dried grasses or branches. Wonderful for storing umbrellas by the front door.
