I call my leaf print pottery 'treehugger' both because I love the leaves I use to make the prints, and also because of how it is made. Several years ago, we began participating in a renewable (wind, and now, bio-mass) energy program through our local utility. So, now our kiln, studio, and home are all powered by clean energy! We are proud of how our pottery is made, and want you to feel good about using it :)

This mug is wheel-thrown stoneware, measures about 5 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide, and holds 18 ounces filled to the rim. The leaves I used for the print are from a Lamb's Ear plant that growns near our front stoop.

It is glazed in purple, blue, and cream, with some underglazes and iron oxide on the leaf prints and brown on the rim. The interrior is a little hard to see because of the shadow, but it is glazed with the same cream that is on the bottom half of the mug. As with all of my glazes, they have been leach-tested for food safety and can be placed in the microwave or dishwasher.

I've estimated USPS Priority Mail shipping costs below. If I've overestimated by more than $1.00, or if you'd prefer (less expensive but slower) Parcel Post, I'll refund the difference to you!
