I have recently revisited making more of my earth pod vessels am pleased to present my latest addition in an ancient faded looking turquoise blue with metallic bronze base.. Laden with a knarly chunk of driftwood, the piece represents a seed pod in the state of decay that has survived the latest storm but is now the proud owner of a stick that has fallen across it's head. (top has been formed so that the driftwood strategically rests in it recesses).

Glazed on the interior in a brown sugar on butternut squash color, with rust and black edges.

The asymetrical pod was wheel thrown, hand altered into more of a free form style, then handworked edges add the final touch.

Made from stoneware.

Measures approx. 6 1/2" across by 4 3/4" tall excluding the driftwood which measures 10 1/2" long.
