Part of the earliest Silver series, “FIRE” was the fourth ‘Game & Watch’ handheld game released in 1980 by the Japanese company Nintendo, and is one of their most popular models. (The silver indicated the color of the metal faceplate).

THE GAME: involves two firemen rushing to catch an increasing number of people leaping from a burning building.

TRIVIA: The Nintendo ‘Game & Watch’ was invented by Gunpei Yokoi who got the idea while watching a bored train passenger playing with his pocket calculator. Their nostalgic appeal and durability make them widely sought after by collectors trying to amass all 60 games.

CONDITION: The right red rubber button is a bit worn (see 2nd photo), some minor scratches on the metal faceplate, otherwise, this WORKING hand held game is in good vintage condition.
No original box or manual, but batteries are included.

Model: RC-04
Serial # 06517892
Measures 3-3/4” x 2-1/2”.
