This piece measures about 12 ½ by 10 inches.

This project began when I bought a small bag of scraps while on a shopping trip to one of my local quilt shops. Using only the small scraps from that bag and batting, I pieced together this churn dash mini quilt in shades of blue.

The 12 center blocks measure 2 ½ inches each. The inner border measures ½ inch across. The outer borders measures about 1 inch across. The backing matches the pale blue found in the outer triangle of the churn dash blocks.

The batting is polyester. Straight quilting has been done around the outside borders and between the central blocks. Free motion quilting was done around the churn dash blocks and in the center of the garden print blocks.

Corner tabs have been added to the back so that the piece may be hung using a dowel.
