Tuberculosis germ cross stitch

---The Story---

GERMS! They're everywhere. You can't avoid them, not entirely -- so why not incorporate them into your decor?

If you're into science, or just germs, or cleanliness, or if you're a hypochondriac, you might like to see your interests/worst fears immortalized in stitchwork. Luckily, now you can.

This listing is for one stitched bacteria that causes tuberculosis, Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (or just "tuberculosis" or TB for short). TB is a contagious bacterial infection that affects the lungs and sometimes other organs; often people in the U.S. or other developed countries will recover from the first contact with TB without symptoms and the TB will lie dormant for years.*

---The Deets---

This listing is for just what you see in the first three pictures: one completed, military green cross stitch of a tuberculosis bacteria with the word "tuberculosis" stitched in black at the bottom of a 3" natural wood embroidery hoop.

Tuberculosis is part of a series of microbe and germ cross stitches that will feature a variety of brightly-colored microscopic viruses/bacteria/etc each stitched on white Aida cloth and framed in 3" natural wood hoop frames. Find more in the Microbes and Germs section of my shop (linked below).

The other microbes pictured above in the fourth picture are (clockwise) the common cold, gangrene, rabies and Entamoeba histolytica (cystic form), and E. Coli, the flu and mange in the fifth picture. These are all currently available even if you don't see the listings up yet.

The back of each germ or microbe will be protected by loose felt that clings to the back; the felt will not be glued to the hoop, in order to allow for easier cleaning and re-stretching should that become necessary.

*CUSTOMIZE: If you would like three or more microbes, look for special listings in the Microbes section of my shop, or convo me to request a special order. Multiple orders will receive a small discount.

*SHIP: This stitch will be made to order and sent via USPS first class (with delivery confirmation) or international first class mail within 7 days of your order, usually sooner, unless I convo you otherwise. It will ship as pictured to anywhere in the world.

*GIFT WRAP: Let me know if you are giving this germ as a gift (lol), and I'll wrap it up in plain paper and include a stitched card for your "to" and "from" -- or tell me if you'd like me to send it directly to the recipient and what message you'd like to include, and I'll write it out for you before I pop it in the mail.

If you're interested in the patterns for this or other germs, convo me, and I'll put them at the top of the queue for digitizing!

I am no kind of medical expert, and anything I know about the microbes in this series of stitches or that I appear to know, I learned from the internet. : ) NO PART of my listings or any other ramblings should be construed as ANY KIND of medical advice, because it's not. My only relevant expertise is in cross stitching!
