This modern hand built ceramic plate has a pressed hydrangea leaf from our garden. The edges are curled upwards 1 1/2", to form a raised rim. I glazed it in a pretty Celadon glaze that accents the leaf impressions perfectly. It is 6 1/2" long and 5" wide at its widest point, making it a nice long shape. It's a great size for serving a croissant, sliced fruit, or brownie. It's also useful in table decor. We use them for candles, olives, and pickles on our summer table settings.

I use real leaves for my plates. I can only make these until the first frost and then there will be no more until next year! This is the very last one for 2011
