A lovely wild rabbit evocative of the American west's jackrabbits, whose huge ears cool them from the harsh sun. I have a vivid memory of one running up alongside my car - I was going 25mph and saw a flash of its tail before it disappeared into the brush.

This bunny is almost 3 (7cm) inches tall at the top of her ears and 2(5cm) inches from nose to the end of those very long ears.

This item will ship 1st class usps both domestically and international. I ship 1-2 times a week due to a premium on my space. I am truly a one person studio, so please be patient with me, I promise the slight wait is worth it.

Most of my pieces are porcelain that is worked with my fingers, pulled, twisted and pushed into shape. After a bisque firing, the pieces are each hand painted with washes of underglaze, much as someone would use watercolors. After painting, each piece is dipped in clear glaze and then fired to ~2200F/1200C. The entire process for a kiln load takes 2-3 weeks.

This rabbit was completed on June 11, 2011 and was one of 106 pieces in the firing. It is signed and dated on the bottom.
