This is a lovely work of art that is likely one of kind. This is late 1800's to early 1900's hand embroidery with wool thread on punch hole paper. The pattern is not typical as it involves a hunting dog in action. Could be European or American. Unfortunately, my photography skills are not doing this justice.

The scene includes a detailed foliage with pink roses, setter ready to pounce, a bird or peacock, a butterfly and ground cover. Delightful!!!

There are no water stains or tears which are frequently typical of these works of art. There are slight spots due to the glass and framing technique that should be updated to current standards.

Measures 23 1/8 X 18 1/8 X 1 1/8 inches on the outside of frame.

It is in an old gold wood frame. Frame is shabby with scratches and missing gold, etc. Picture 5 shows the wood backing.
