I had a lot of fun creating this sweet little bowl. I was experimenting with textures, new glazes, and some of my iron oxide decals.I hand built this little bowl from a brown stoneware clay. It has the sweetest rustic little tripod legs, that look kind of like horns. I used a herringbone woven fabric to texture the outside, which gives it a funky chevron pattern. I've used a vibrant matte turquoise for the outside, I like the way it has accentuated the chevron pattern. On the inside I've used a soft coral. Finally I applied a geometric design composed of layered diamond shapes. This image actually fires into the glaze and is very permanent.
