The Day of the Saxon
by Homer Lea
Harper and Brother's Publisher
copyright 1912
249 pages

A wonderful find for your favorite historian. This is an interesting look at British imperial defense and opinion pre WWI. There are 17 chapters including:
The Saxon and His Empire, The British Empire and War, The Saxon and America, The British Empire in the World.

Condition: The cover shows some age related fading and shelf wear. The gold embossed letters and graphic are clear. The spine is a little lose. The front and back pages are a little lose but still attached. The stitched binding is holding the text pages well. The paper is yellow due to age but the gilding on the top edge is still visible. There are light pencil markings on a couple of the pages and inside the back cover. We also found a small rip on the bottom of one page.

To save you shipping costs books are shipped USPS Media Mail which takes 4 - 9 days. If you need your item faster please convo us for a price to upgrade shipping to Priority Mail, 2 - 3 days shipping in the U.S.
